ProfessorAidan O'Sullivan

As an archaeological lecturer, I explore how people use buildings, material culture and their environments to create different social worlds, to reveal the diversity of the human condition. I use story-telling techniques, active-learning and problem-oriented teaching and fieldtrips to place students at the heart of their own learning experience. Innovation and Leadership In my leadership roles as Head of School, Graduate Officer, Research Officer, MA co-coordinator and Level 1 co-coordinator, I have been continuously involved in the ongoing design, development and promotion of UCD School of Archaeology's teaching programmes, with an emphasis on innovation and creativity in programme and module delivery and assessment.
