    Award for the manuscript: Gender Bias in Entrepreneurship: What is the Role of the Founders’ Entrepreneurial Background? joint with Luca Pistilli, Stefano Breschi, and Franco Malerba All eligible papers were blindly and independently reviewed and rated by 5 members of our committee, and yours was the unanimous choice for winner. We were impressed by the careful consideration of the topic, as well as your application and rigour of your methods to derive robust conclusions.

    Motivation: Alessia has had several innovations to improve the content and make it more interesting. One worthy of note is her use of videos to quickly go through key concepts. This is a very neat way of delivering this material. Alessia started with this innovation a couple of years ago. In 2020 this innovation became invaluable as we moved to remote teaching due to Covid-19. Also, Alessia has also been a long-standing advocate of applied projects where both groups and individuals are required to complete assessments applying the technical material in practice using real data."
