I engage with students to facilitate the learning process and satisfy their individual needs. I include examples from everyday life, cutting-edge research, and experimental demonstrations to highlight aspects of the taught material. Learning outcomes are kept central and teaching is adjusted to maximize the student engagement and acquired skills. Innovation and Leadership I was coordinator and admissions tutor for an MSc in NanoBio Science 2008-2015 (FT, PT, and Grad Cert). I am current Head of Teaching and Learning in the UCD School of Physics. I contribute to the related pre-MSc and negotiated learning MSc. I have developed project-based learning for first-year students in physics and for international students on the pre-MSc. With the graduate school and international office I am actively involved with the promotion of UCD graduate programmes.
