TEACHING ACTIVITIES
My focus as an educator is leading students to develop knowledge of, skill in and enthusiasm for Computer Science. My primary teaching objectives are imparting understanding, fostering knowledge, and engendering enthusiasm. My teaching methods are based on clear explanations, active joined-up learning, rich examples, variety and engaging practical work. Innovation and Leadership As module coordinator, I mentor, tutor and encourage post-graduate Teaching Assistants and demonstrators as they progress as teachers in their own right. During the semester, I work with them to develop their tuition style so that it is engaging for students and applicable to the laboratory setting. I have served on the school Teaching and Learning committee. I perform regular reviews of the state-of-the-art within my subject area to ensure that my teaching is up-to-date and continuously evolving.
