Christine Linehan BA, MA, HDipStat, PhD, CPsycholPsSI, is an Associate Professor with the School of Psychology, University College Dublin. Christine is Director of the UCD Centre for Disability Studies and Joint Director of the UCD MSc in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies with Associate Professor Suzanne Guerin. Christine is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer with the Tizard Centre, University of Kent, UK.Before moving to UCD, Christine was employed as Associate Professor/Director of the National Institute for Intellectual Disability, Trinity College Dublin and was a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at Trinity's School of Social Work and Social Policy. Prior to this, Christine was employed as Senior Research Officer with the National Disability Authority, the statutory body providing advice on disability practice and policy to the Irish Government.Christine is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Comparative Policy and Practice Special Interest Group of IASSIDD (International Association for the Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities), an invited member of the Intellectual Disabilities Task Force of the Neuropsychiatry Commission of ILAE (International League against Epilepsy) and an invited member of the Board of Epilepsy Ireland.For further information on the UCD Centre for Disability Studies please go to our website at:
