BIO
I am deeply fascinated by the behaviour of proteins in cells, in living systems and in recombinant engineered systems. The intersection of biology, chemistry and physics is a particular interest and is manifest in my many collaborative relationships in Europe and the US across disciplines. I am expert in protein engineering and I am excited by the possibilities this affords in biomedical research, where I have a particular focus on development of novel therapeutic biologic molecules.
My research group has specialisation in phage display selection approaches, proteomic technologies e.g., LC-MS/MS and array based proteomics, with significant expertise in biophysical measurements of protein interaction with antibodies, small molecules and other proteins e.g., surface plasmon resonance, MDS, ITC and MST. Our research into G Protein-Coupled Receptors (GPCRs) in the cell membrane has led us to specialise further in nanodisc synthesis and Cryo-EM enabling capabilities.
I look forward to exploring new collaborations as well as developing existing ones.
