As a teacher of physics, I aim to facilitate students in engaging in deep learning and encourage reflection among my students. I believe that this approach develops lifelong learners and enhances physics knowledge and transferable skills so that students are both well-trained physicists and prepared for their future careers. Innovation and Leadership I used my time as Head of T&L in Physics to review, restructure and improve the Physics and Science curricula. I have introduced enquiry-based learning into all 1st year physics laboratories and aimed to emphasis the importance of engagement to colleagues so that Physics modules engender deep learning and reflective practice among students wherever possible. I have contributed to university peer observation for staff development and continue to oversee undergraduate laboratory T&L in the School of Physics.
