My research interests include: - the intersection of theatrical and narrative discourses in Italian literature from its origins to modern times; - topics of twentieth- and twenty-first-century Italian Literature; - identity and agency in the representation of the posthuman subject; performative realism, new materialism; - gender identity; - translation and literary translation of disaster narratives, eco-translation; - the works of Pierpaolo Pasolini (literature and film); - performativity and performance in the construction of subject identities across several media (film, prose narrative, theatre, poetry). My publication projects for the immediate future include: the translation of a volume dealing with fictional and non-fictional narratives of disasters in the Kingdom of Naples during the early-modern period (Roma: Viella); the edition of a collection of essays on the theme of posthuman identity in Italian literature and film (New York: Palgrave MacMillan).
