I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin. I received my BSc in Computer Engineering (Software Engineering) from Alzahra University, Tehran, Iran, in 2010, and my MSc in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2013. I have recently received my PhD in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin, in June 2018, which was funded by Science Foundation Ireland. I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Distributed Systems Group and Future Cities research groups at Trinity College Dublin, before joining UCD in February 2019. My current research focus is on cognitive and social reasoning in the context of multi-agent systems, particularly on agents collaboration and autonomous decision making. I am also interested in the application of such techniques in areas such as smart energy grid and transportation.
