TEACHING INTERESTS

My philosophy is that, I as a teacher am there to facilitate the student experience and development with respect to their chosen programme, and to foster a students' ability to think and critically evaluate. Teaching should equip students with the skills through learning styles that capture student interest and potential. Innovation and Leadership I established and lead a 10.7 million euro Doctoral Training Programme in Earth and Natural Sciences. This starting fund has enabled me to pioneer the integration of research and teaching and the incorporation of innovation and multidisciplinary training in doctoral training, while ensuring students receive deep disciplinary training. At undergraduate level, I have pioneered the integration of biotechnology in education and the evolution of programmes such that they train students for the current job market.
