TEACHING INTERESTS

I predominantly teach undergraduate students about viruses and the infectious diseases caused by viruses. I coordinate 2 modules, one that focuses on understanding literature, and using evidence to design treatment plans and research studies and another that introduces and teaches students about the concept of One Health. One Health is an umbrella term used to acknowledge the association between medicine, veterinary medicine and environmental studies. It teaches that medical, veterinary or environmental issues can be more effectively solved using multidisciplinary teams that can benefit each other. I also teach on a number of microbiology and immunology courses as well as some graduate programmes.
