DrIason Kynigakis

Iason Kynigakis is an Assistant Professor of Finance at University College Dublin. Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College Dublin, funded by the Irish Research Council. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Kent, where his research focused on financial econometrics and forecasting. His research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, econometrics, and financial decision-making, with a focus on forecasting and asset allocation. His work has been published in journals such as the European Journal of Operational Research and the Journal of Applied Econometrics, and has been presented at leading international conferences in finance and econometrics. His teaching interests closely align with his research. He has taught modules on financial econometrics, quantitative methods and portfolio management at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and has previously taught at the University of Essex and the University of Kent.
