RESEARCH INTERESTS
My core research interests are in experimental particle physics and the application of particle physics related technologies to real-world problems.
I have been heavilly involved in the top quark physics programmes at the ATLAS and CMS experiments and the design and development of advanced particle detectors. I hold a strong interest in the development and application of Machine-Learning techniques to particle physics and real-world applications.
I lead international projects to produce low-cost medical brain PET (Positron Emission Tomography) and compact mobile muon tomography detector concepts suitable for deployment in Low and Middle-Income countries.
