My teaching philosophy is based on making students active participants rather than passive listeners and I employ a range of learning techniques to address learning outcomes. I believe that learning is a social activity and that an energetic, enjoyable and collaborative environment is mutually conducive in facilitating the learning process. Innovation and Leadership I recognise the importance of innovation and leadership in T&L for achieving excellence in these areas. I engage fully with T&L within our School and participated in the working-group that developed the T&L plans for our 2012 School Strategy. I am a member of the T&L Committee that will oversee implementation of the T&L component of this strategy. I embrace innovative approaches to T&L and continually strive to improve the teaching environment that I create.
