My teaching is research-driven and evidence based. I encourage students to make affective as well as academic connections with the material they are studying in order to ensure a more lasting and incisive engagement with the past. Innovation and Leadership My focus has been primarily on curricular review and development at graduate and undergraduate levels. I am the leader in the current reform of our undergraduate syllabus. I pioneered the introduction of innovative MA courses, flexible and team taught to the School of History and Archives, where they have since become the norm. My commitment to innovation has facilitated the introduction of the only PhD in Archivistics offered in the country.
