Successfully completed a PhD in the field of CT Beam Hardening image artefact suppression. The research investigated a novel predictive algorithm correction technique that identified structures generating beam hardening, and effectively reduced the artifact in an independent single iteration correction step. The research attracted funding & support from sources including UCD, Siemens Healthcare & Enterprise Ireland. In addition I support both post graduate research in the fields of Image data processing, CT and RIS/PACS in addition to under graduate research as part of the BSc Radiography programme. Current active research projects include medical display longevity, image based CT artifact correction software, Simulation for Radiographic educational purposes and advanced technology based teaching and assessment, initially CT but with DR and MR to follow.
