BIO

Jorge graduated from the University Alfonso X El Sabio, Spain, in 2011. After that, he completed a one-year rotating internship in October 2012, followed by a combined three-year Master in Small Animal Surgery and a PhD in Veterinary Sciences at the same institution. In August 2017, Jorge joined the UCD Veterinary Hospital in Dublin as a rotating intern for one year and as a surgical intern for the next six months. Following the internships, he enrolled in a combined four-year Doctorate of Veterinary Medical Specialisation (DVMS) and Small Animal Surgery Residency at University College Dublin, which he completed in January 2023. He became a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (DECVS) in February 2023. He moved to Australia for one year to work as Associate Professor of Small Animal Surgery at Murdoch Universtity. Currently, Jorge is a consultant in Small Animal Surgery at University College Dublin.
