BIO

I am a Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology in the School of Psychology and a Senior Clinical Psychologist in the Outpatient Department of St John of God Hospital, Dublin. I have previously worked for the NHS at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford. I completed my clinical training at the Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London. I completed my PhD in University College Dublin. I specialise in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and have taught regularly on cognitive behavioural therapy and mental health. I have written widely in academic journals on the topic of CBT and am a regular contributor to the Irish media on issues of mental health. I have published my first book “Protecting Mental Health”. My current research interests look at Emotional Regulation, Psychosis, CBT, Pilot Mental Health and Loneliness.
