Maeve Louise Farrell

Maeve Louise Farrell is a Clinical Research Veterinary Nurse in the UCD School of Veterinary Medicine at University College Dublin. She has made contributions to the field of One Health, with publications in human, animal and environmental interfaces. Maeve is a registered Veterinary Nurse, having earned her degree from Athlone Institute of Technology. She also completed a BSc (Hons) in Applied Bioscience at Athlone Institute of Technology. Her recent accomplishments include the completion of her Ph.D. studies in Bacteriology, where she conducted research on the exposure to recreational waters as a potential risk for colonisation with Carbapenemase-Producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) and Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) in the University of Galway.
