TEACHING ACTIVITIES
My teaching interests range from Linear Algebra, Modern Algebra, Calculus, Probablity Theory to Number Theory, Combinatorics, Graph Theory, and Coding Theory.
As most of my colleagues, I believe, that successful instruction will pick up the student where he or she is standing. This will also enable the student's participation in the instructor's own adventurous history of understanding.
Although open to electronic presentation in general, I stick to the idea of "real-time performance" at the chalkboard. Remote to the classroom, I have convinced the School of Mathematics and Statistics to adopt WeBWorK, a web-based tool for assigning and grading individual homework to students. This system has been used for more than 12 years now used with great success.
