I joined the School of Information and Communication Studies in University College Dublin (UCD) as Assistant Professor in 2017. Before this, I was an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Computer Science, Trinity College Dublin (2014-2017) after receiving a PhD from the School of Communication in DCU. My research interests are in ethics in human computer interaction (HCI), technology and well-being, discourses on science, technology and society (STS) and histories of digital media. My work is motivated by over a decade of industry experience in digital media project management and media production and is supported by teaching courses such as Information Ethics, Digital Storytelling and Organisation & Retrieval of Information. I am a member of the ADAPT Ethics & Privacy Working Group and UCD Human-Computer Interaction (HCI@UCD) group and currently supervise PhD studies on ethical and policy frameworks in technology enabled adolescent mental health (TEAM) as part of an MSCA-ITN network.
