DrMaría Ramírez de Arellano

María is a Lecturer in Global Language Modules in The Centre for English and Global Languages in UCD. She teaches some of the Spanish modules and she is the Module Coordinator for Arabic, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swahili. She has a BA in Modern Languages, an MA in Translation Studies, an MA in Intercultural Studies, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Languages. She also completed a PhD in Intercultural Studies in Dublin City University. Her research interests are Intercultural Communication, Intercultural Competence and Humour Communication.
