BIO

Dr. Mark Scanlon is an Associate Professor in the UCD School of Computer Science, Founding Director of the UCD Forensics and Security Research Group, Programme Director of the Masters in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation and Principal Investigator at Ireland’s National Centre for Applied AI (CeADAR). He is a Fulbright Scholar in Cybersecurity and Cybercrime Investigation. Both his MSc and PhD are in the field of Remote Digital Forensic Evidence Acquisition and Analysis. His research interests include Remote Evidence Acquisition, Evidence Whitelisting & Data Deduplication, Cloud Forensics, File Synchronisation Service Forensics, Network Forensics, and Digital Forensics Education. Dr. Scanlon is an active member of the digital forensics research community and is a keen editor, reviewer and conference organiser across a range of key journals and conferences in the field - including Senior Editor at Elsevier's Forensic Science International: Digital Investigation and on the organising committee for DFRWS.
