I am a Lecturer of Midwifery and the Programme Director of the BSc Midwifery Programme in UCD School of Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems. Registered Midwife and Qualified midwife tutorI graduated from City University in 2005 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Midwifery and completed my MSc in Midwifery in 2010. I qualified in the examination of the newborn programme and am a member of the Resuscitation Council UK. I am also a prompt instructor In 2014, appointed fellow of the Higher Education Authority UK I have a strong interest in autonomous midwifery practice in all aspects of maternity services. I have a proven track record of clinical and operational leadership with particular interests in homebirth, waterbirth, debriefing women following birth and bringing low risk ideals to women who are deemed high risk in labour.I strongly support a woman's right to choose in pregnancy and birth.
