"Dr Matt Glowatz has been a wonderful ambassador for the UCD College of Business in the course of his exemplary global engagement activities. For many years, Matt has played a central role in the teaching and coordination of our Global Campus programmes in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka. He currently serves as the MIS Subject Area Co-ordinator for our Information Systems/ Digital Business offerings in Singapore, where he plays an invaluable role in the academic oversight of our programmes in this region. This has proved crucial in ensuring some consistency and continuity between our domestic and overseas programmes. Matt has even organised student projects spanning both campuses, which has promoted greater integration and mutual visibility. Matt travels regularly to Singapore and has established excellent relationships with those running our operations and teaching modules locally. He is a member of the UCD East Asia Strategy Implementation Working Group and regularly contributes to global engagement activities, such as delivering seminars and actively promoting the College of Business and UCD at, inter alia, the Irish-Singapore Chamber of Commerce and the Singapore Psychological Society. Further afield, Matt has visited Nizwa University (Oman) on an Erasmus Mundus Programme Scholarship (2013), Mahidol University (Thailand) on an Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Exchange Programme (2017), and was part of a UCD Volunteers delegation to the University of Fondwa (Haiti) in 2017, where he advised on their undergraduate business curriculum design. Matt is a wonderful, energetic, obliging colleague who is a very worthy winner of our UCD College of Business, Global Engagement Award."

CANIE is a volunteer grassroots initiative formed by international education practitioners from around the world who see the need for our sector to step up and act on climate. CANIE serves as a platform to bring the sector together to act as a catalyst for action.

As part of an EU funded academic research exchange programme, Matt Glowatz designed and delivered a series of workshops and seminars ("Tools for Measuring and Evaluating Affective Domain", "Creating Innovative Learning Spaces for the 21st Century", "Life Long Learning - Pedagogical Approaches for Mature Learners") at the Institute for Innovative Learning, Mahidol University (Thailand).
