I am a principal of GKMP Architects and an Assistant Professor in the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy. I graduated from U.C.D. in 1998 and worked with Grafton Architects until 2002. GKMP Architects was established in Barcelona in 2003 and relocated to Dublin in 2004. The practice is principally concerned with the design of housing and public space. Since inception the practice has received a number of architectural awards. Both built and research work has been published internationally and has been selected for inclusion in the 'New Horizon-Architecture from Ireland' Exhibition at the Chicago Architecture Biennial 2015 and the 'Nine Lives' Exhibition at the London Festival of Architecture 2015.I have been teaching design studio in the School of Architecture since 2000. I am currently the Co-ordinator of the 5th Year Thesis programme, having previously co-ordinated the Middle School studio programme . I was also Programme Co-ordinator for the affiliated architecture course at CESUGA, La Coruna between 2010 and 2015.I have recently completed a Research Masters on the housing projects of the Catalan architect José Antonio Coderch.
