BIO
Dr Nuala Caffrey is an Assistant Professor in Computational Materials Research at the UCD School of Physics.
Her group uses first-principles electronic structure methods to understand the electronic and magnetic properties of complex materials and surfaces. They are currently investigating the effects of atomic and molecular intercalation in 2D layered materials from first principles, focusing on renewable energy applications such as batteries and catalysis.
