BIO
I joined the UCD School of Economics in September 2017. Previously, I was a lecturer at ESSEC Business School in Paris and a visiting lecturer at Bocconi University in Milan. I obtained my PhD from ESSEC Business School and THEMA University of Cergy-Pontoise in 2017. My research interests are in macro-finance with a focus on the role of the financial sector in the real economy. Specifically, I employ theoretical, empirical as well as experimental methods to study how financial and coordination frictions affect investment decisions across different types of economic agents. My work has been published in leading international journals such as Management Science, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization, Journal of Banking & Finance, and Journal of International Money and Finance. I presented my work at more than 60 international conferences and invited seminars in academic departments and policy institutions.
I am a Research Affiliate at the Central Bank of Ireland and the Geary Institute for Public Policy. I am a member of the Irish Fiscal Advisory Council. I am an Associate Editor of the Review of World Economics and The Economic and Social Review and one of the founding executive committee members of the Irish Society for Women in Economics.
