RESEARCH INTERESTS
The legal regulation and governance of charitable organizations from a comparative perspective (particularly the European Union, the US and Commonwealth countries). My interests here are broad and cross a number of disciplinary fields including economics, accountancy, political science and law.
Equity and Trust law generally and particularly the study of Fiduciary Relationships and regulatory governance.
The role of nonprofit organizations in the formation of public policy from a comparative perspective (particularly the European Union, and other common law charity regimes). My current interests include both the development of enabling regulatory frameworks for philanthropy and the emergernce of enterprise foundations (an alternative business model that sees business profits returned to charitable organisations) in common law countries.
