Is Ollamh le Nua-Ghaeilge í Ríona Nic Congáil i Scoil na Gaeilge, an Léinn Cheiltigh agus an Bhéaloidis. Bhain sí dochtúireacht sa Ghaeilge amach ó UCD sa bhliain 2009. Tá spéis ar leith aici i Litríocht agus Cultúr na nÓg, i Litríocht na mBan agus in Athbheochan na Gaeilge.
