My view of teaching is that it is about developing students and helping them to grow. In particular, I want to develop critical thinking based on evidence. This growth is best achieved by inspiring the students to engage with the material and to exchange learning with each other such as by in-class presentations: following the old principle that the best way to learn something is to teach it.
I led the redesign of the M.Mangt.Sc to the MSc Business Analytics, with new and revamped modules and a new ethos of engagement with industry sponsors: minor theses are on real-world problems, in partnership with industry sponsors. I have also developed over ten new modules, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level, teaching to class sizes ranging from 15 to 535.
