RESEARCH INTERESTS
My main interests extend from molecular evolution and genomics to crop domestication and applied research such as plant breeding. I am currently working on different projects within the field of plant genetics, employing bioinformatics, next-generation sequencing and molecular biology techniques. My PhD in Genetics is from the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, where I studied the unusual molecular evolution of a plant transcription factor family involved in key developmental processes in rice.
