My objectives as a teacher are to empower my students while providing them with core skills in analysis of materials and synthesis of ideas. I attempt to offer them a working model of scholarship, to be emulated and interrogated. I believe that we share ethical responsibilities in the learning process. Innovation and Leadership At school level I have played a leadership role in the context of syllabus design, in the response to plagiarism, and in terms of procedures for the efficient management of the School's large graduate cohort. My personal teaching within the School syllabus at undergraduate and graduate level has been highly innovative both in terms of delivery and in range. Since 2006 I have co-ordinated 48 separate modules and introduced new subject areas in the history of Religion and Sport.
