As a teacher my main mission is to give students opportunities to learn and practice through class interaction interesting concepts and problem solving tools. I also try to give them enough opportunities to progressively build a rich foundation that helps them become effective, well skilled and prepared for real-life challenges. Innovation and Leadership -Inclusive Assessment Award: To support the development of an inclusive assessment strategy in my modules. This is funded through HEA Training of Trainers fund. -Research Publications in the area of T&L -I designed and implemented an International BSc degree in Computer Science in Sri Lanka. I am currently the director of this UCD Sri Lanka BSc international in Computer Science. -Head of Teaching and Learning (2007-2012) -Awarded Graduate Diploma in T&L (UCD 2006).
