My teaching philosophy is to engage the students and encourage an active learning environment. I also try to respect diverse ways of learning as everyone learns differently, from behaviourism to cognitivism, therefore it is important to support all types of learning. Innovation and Leadership I use innovative methods in the delivery of my modules such as peer observation, reflective practice, video clips and discussion boards. I am also a member of the Irish Society of Toxicology and the Irish Register of Toxicologists which play a key role in the continuing professional development and training of Toxicologists both in Ireland and Europe, which is very informative for the development of the undergraduate curriculum in toxicology.
