Tiffany's key research interests are operational risk, corporate governance, IPO, venture capital and textual analysis. She has presented her research at the Australasian Banking & Finance Conference, European Accounting Association Annual Congress and the Financial Management Association Conference. Prior to undertaking her PhD, she had previously held roles at Citi Singapore. With industry practice, she is especially keen on learning and developing research ideas that span in the area of the impact of technology and innovation on the consequences of operational risk events of firms. One of her working papers looks at the outcome of several elements within the operational risk event types of firms that went public - business practice, fiduciary breaches and process management - and finds that IPO firms exposed to crucial events in their lifecycle attempt to reduce potential operational losses arising from litigation through managing the tone of their mandatory filings. Her future research agenda is focused on, but not limited to, the application of contemporary techniques to operational risk research and creating new datasets. At present, she is working on a project that examines the impact of the arrival and departure of innovative directors on firms’ operations and innovation management.
