BIO

Victor Vincent is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the UCD School of Earth Sciences and iCRAG. His research focuses on the geochemistry, geochronology and genesis of sediment-hosted copper-cobalt mineral systems, particularly the Central African Copperbelt. His current work integrates in-situ geochronology, mineral chemistry and petrography to constrain the timing of low temperature supergene alteration and mineralisation in the Central African Copperbelt. He is currently working on the “Metals for a Green Ireland: Developing innovative mineral systems and exploration tools” research programme led by Prof Sarah Gleeson and Dr Koen Torremans.
