I was the leader of a bridge building challenge for the UCD summer school for high school students. The objective was to design and construct an efficient structure, from a limited supply of materials, to carry the highest load possible over a given span. The students used balsa wood, short lengths of strings and pins to make connections.http://trussitn.eu/esr-assists-students-structural-engineering-challenge-ucd-summer-high-school/
