My vocation is to offer an exemplar student experience that prioritises sense of belonging, collegiality and community. I am committed to inspire students across UCD Schools in grasping deep and lifelong knowledge in Mathematics while developing skills to stand out in an increasingly complex world, such as: critical thinking, computational thinking (CT), interpersonal and digital skills, social, ethical and civic awareness. In my courses I have implemented several effective approaches to enhance student learning like: co-construction of knowledge in a Computer Supported Learning Environment, group projects, lab activities, flipped classroom.

I propose contents that are aligned with discipline specific needs and relevant to students’ future professions, and I annually organise careers talks for Financial Mathematics students. These events empower students’ engagement and motivation since they explore potential post-degree careers and meet with industry partners.

I founded the “UCD Financial Mathematics Community” LinkedIn group. The group mission is to foster connections between current FM students and FM graduates and to promote a powerful, visible network in the coming years.

I facilitate international study experiences, collaborating with UCD Global in the integration process for both incoming and outgoing students.

Since 2016, I taught over 25 modules in the area of Mathematics and Financial Mathematics. I led the establishment of the BSc in Financial Mathematics (2016) and the MSc in Financial Mathenatics  (2021), acting as Programme Director (PD) of the BSc since 2017 and as Deputy PD of the MSc since 2021. I established a new cutting-edge area of teaching, Computational Finance. I designed 4 new advanced Finanancial Mathematics modules for the MSc.
