RESEARCH INTERESTS
My main area of academic interest is English for Academic Purposes. Within this, I have particular research interests in teacher training in Transnational Education settings, Education for Sustainable Development, assessment, international students’ transition from IELTS to Academic English, Global Englishes, and the teaching of listening and writing for academic purposes.
I gained my PhD in American Literature from Trinity College Dublin in 2012. My monograph, Delmore Schwartz: A Critical Reevaluation, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2014. While I now work primarily within the field of English Language Education, I maintain research interests and a publication record in twentieth-century US, British, and Irish poetry.
