TEACHING ACTIVITIES
With more than 17 years of interdisciplinary teaching experience at various schools, I have taught 20 courses across a range of topics in spatial development, urban planning, urban design and architecture, spanning both undergraduate programmes (Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade) and graduate programmes (Integral Urbanism at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade, and Spatial Development and Infrastructure Systems at ETH Zurich). I developed and taught a variety of courses: fundamental (e.g., Research Methods and Techniques, Theory and Methodology of Spatial Planning), specialised (e.g., European Aspects of Spatial Development), and studio courses (e.g., Integral Territory Analysis). I have been supervising 7 MSc, 5 MAS (Master of Advanced Studies), 4 PhD students, and two visiting PhDs. To support the lecturing, my co-edited volume Spatial Planning Matters! Inspiring Cases and Fundamental Topics (vdf, 2018) encompasses a variety of case studies to illustrate how the concepts such as institutional design, discourse and dialogue, and co-production of knowledge, among others, are adopted in real-world examples of innovative urban planning and design.
At UCD, I obtained a Professional Certificate in University Teaching and Learning (15 ECTS). I currently contribute to the Chang’an-Dublin International College (CDIC) of Transportation, being involved in its BSc Transport, City Planning & Environmental Policy programme and offering the following modules: Comparative Planning, Rural & Landscape Planning, and Governing the City: Administration and Transportation. At UCD, I have been engaged in MRUP modules: Placemaking, Placemaking: Urban & Rural Design, and Thesis.
