The activities of the Association will cover all aspects of life-cycle assessment, design, maintenance, rehabilitation and monitoring of civil engineering systems. The mission of the Association is to become the premier international organization for the advancement of the state-of-the-art in the field of life-cycle civil engineering. The objective of the Association is to promote international cooperation in the field of life-cycle civil engineering for the purpose of enhancing the welfare of society. In order to fulfill its mission and objective, the Association will organize congresses, conferences, symposia, workshops, seminars, and short courses on the related topics.

World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology is a decentralized, open-science research organization dedicated to promoting the advancement of science, engineering and technology. The International Scientific Committees and Editorial Review Boards are comprised of distinguished and competent scholars, scientists and researchers from around the world. World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology kindly invites scholars, scientists and researchers (PhD qualified only) to join in and work on the International Scientific Committees and Editorial Review Boards of scientific research journals and conferences.

The Advocate collaborates with Engineers Ireland in progressing with appropriate initiatives, such as: • arrangements for class visits/ student presentations • sign up of undergraduate engineering students as student members of Engineers Ireland • introduction of undergraduate and post graduate engineering student ‘Achievement of Excellence’ Awards • introduction of ‘Engineering Excellence Case Studies’ to the School’s undergraduate programmes • introduction of an Engineers Ireland ‘Internship Programme’ to lend assistance to the college’s existing work placements activities • the delivery of ‘Engineers Connect’ events, bringing together students, academics, employers, recruiters, Engineers Ireland members, committees, societies and divisions • supply of the college’s yearly list of new engineering graduates (all of Engineers Ireland’s student members have signed appropriate Data Protection declarations) • distribution of collateral regarding Engineers Ireland’s annual ‘Innovative Student of the Year’ competition and • fostering linkages between the college and employers from the 5,000+ organisations represented in Engineers Ireland membership, including potential for cluster linkages to the School’s distinguishing competency, as discussed.
