BIO

Dr. Asli Coban is a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Sustainable Biosystems Engineering at the School of Biosystems and Food Engineering, University College Dublin. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering and brings over 15 years of experience in academia and research, spanning environmental technologies, materials science, and sustainability assessments.

 

Her interdisciplinary work covers environmental engineering, solid waste management, water treatment, and additive manufacturing. She has held academic and research positions in both Turkey and Ireland, and completed part of her doctoral research as a visiting scholar at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA.

 

Dr. Coban is passionate about integrating scientific innovation with practical solutions to environmental challenges and about mentoring the next generation of engineers to become sustainability-minded problem solvers.
