DrBadri Narayanan

I teach machine learning, programming, data science and geospatial computing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At UCD, I have lectured on Python for ArcGIS within the Advanced GIS Master’s programme and contributed to teaching in Advanced Machine Learning, Introduction to Programming with Python, Data Mining and Text Analytics, Information Visualisation, Object-Oriented Programming, and Relational Databases and Information Systems.

I use live code-along sessions, practical exercises and regular comprehension checks, and adapt the material for students with different levels of programming experience. My industry and research experience allows me to use examples from software development, data pipelines, machine learning projects and current AI research. I also introduce students to AI-assisted development while emphasising specification, systematic testing and careful review of generated code.
