TEACHING ACTIVITIES
I aim to support student learning through personal interactions and provision of well-designed material that can be accessed outside class-time. I encourage students to develop transferrable cognitive, social and personal skills. I facilitate independent learning and collaboration with peers. I was Head of Teaching & Learning in the UCD School of Psychology from 2005-2009 and UCD Fellow in Teaching and Academic Development from 2007-2009. I have researched and written about my teaching and published findings in peer reviewed journals as well as presenting them at international conferences. Conferences include: Society for Research into Higher Education Annual Conference; 11th European Congress of Psychology; Psychological Society of Ireland Annual Conference. A collaborative study on modularisation was published in Teaching in Higher Education.
