RESEARCH INTERESTS
My primary focus is on enabling the biomanufacture of biologics and advanced therapies. The area of advanced therapies is an emerging, rapidly growing area with many challenges related to biomanufacture to be addressed. Further information about my research can be found at https://www.ucd.ie/biores/
My research interests and previous experience spans both chemical and biological processes and is focused on technologies and approaches that can accelerate and improve process engineering and development across all stages of the process life cycle including:
- process analytical technology
- process modelling
- advanced process control
- scale up / scale down strategies
- process optimization and intensification
