TEACHING ACTIVITIES
My teaching philosophy is to create a supportive and intellectually stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking and student success. I adopt a pragmatic approach that balances theoretical foundations with practical application, helping students develop both conceptual understanding and the skills required to address real-world computing challenges.
The core components in my teaching practice include the following:
A well-defined session plan for each lecture with clear learning objectives.
Precise learning outcomes for a module.
Promoting active learning through no-stakes in-class quizzes.
Effective assessment and feedback based on National Forum's three assessment themes and the Bloxham&Boyd assessment principles.
Effective holistic and analytical rubrics.
Design modules that facilitate and promote proven T&L techniques such as spaced, varied, and retrieval learning.
Employing technological aids and universal design.
Critical reflection.
