Rebecca Maughan joined UCD Business School in 2012. Rebecca was awarded her PhD in the area of corporate sustainability practices from the University of Amsterdam (Amsterdam Business School) and is an active researcher in this area. Rebecca completed her undergraduate (B.Comm) and master's (M.Acc) level education at UCD. She is also a member of the Chartered Accountants in Ireland (CAI), having qualified with Arthur Andersen and KPMG. Prior to her appointment in UCD, she was a lecturer at School of Business, Dublin Institute of Technology. Currently, Rebecca is the CIMA advocate for UCD. Previous professional engagements include secretary of the Irish Accounting and Finance Association (2016-2019), judging panel member Published Accounts Awards 2019 (sustainability reporting category) external moderator for the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (2008-2011) and ACCA Irish representative on the European Sustainability Reporting Association board (2006 and 2007). Rebecca has teaching experience, at undergraduate and post graduate levels, in the areas of financial and management accounting, corporate governance and ethics, corporate sustainability and audit.
