TEACHING INTERESTS

Ongoing research, openness to new pedagogical thinking, good communication, and inspiring leadership are key components for effective teaching. The reflective, confident, collaborative teacher will attain innovative course delivery and learning outcomes. Self evaluation and student feedback enhance the learning experience for all, leading to higher standards in course work. Innovation and Leadership As a result of my recent leadership roles in UCD, leading change and enhancement of Undergraduate/Postgraduate/Research programmes in a cross School/College trans disciplinary context is central to my innovation and leadership approach. I maintain this philosophy in curriculum development, enhancing teaching with innovative assessment methods, membership of external boards, and establishment of academic national and international collaborations. This are key factors in creating new innovative and leading pathways as demonstrated and described comprehensively in my teaching profile.
