DrTami Gadir

I am a Visiting Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the UCD School of Music and a member of the UCD Winfred Carney Centre for Organising and Labour Research‍ ‍and UCD Humanities Institute.

I research, teach, and supervise on the ways that music, the arts, and popular cultures (broadly defined) interact with politics and society.

I was first trained as a classical pianist and sometimes work as a DJ. These creative practices have both informed my research.

My PhD is from the University of Edinburgh.

I have lived and worked in Sydney, Edinburgh, Oslo, Melbourne, Winnipeg, and Dublin.
